SHREVEPORT, LA – Services for Kenneth Harold Bell, 76, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997 at Boone Funeral Home Shreveport Chapel, 3903 Meriwether Rd. Officiating will be Jerry Hodge. Interment will be in Forest Park West.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 1997, at Boone Funeral Home Shreveport Chapel.

Mr. Bell died Sunday, April 13, 1997 at Schumpert Medical Center. He was born in Marked Tree, AR, and was a resident of Shreveport. Mr. Bell was a retired farmer and was a veteran of the U.S.M.C., a member of University Church of Christ, an elder and deacon of many congregations in Shreveport, served on the board of several Christian colleges, and was heavily involved in local and international missions. After 6 years of service from 1939-1945, he was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant from the 4th Raider Battalion USMC.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lucille Bell.

Survivors include his two daughters, Carla Merideth and husband, Robert of Oklahoma City, OK and Kay Kay Hart and husband, Sonny of Elizabethtown, KY; one son, Kenneth Harold Bell, Jr. and wife, Sherry Kay of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Wanell Phillips of Jonesboro, AR; one brother, Q. R. Bell of Dexter, MO; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and grandsons will be pallbearers.

The family request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ukrainian Mission Fund/In Care of University Church of Christ.
