Robert James Boehnlein, 79, died on Jan. 26, 2000, in Palm Desert.
He was born on Jan. 15, 1921, to Gallis James and Olive Scott Boehnlein in Duluth, Minn.
He married Della May Elder on April 22, 1989, in Reno, Nev.
Mr. Boehnlein was president of Reisner Metals Inc. for 31 years.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II from 1942 through 1944. He belonged to the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Palm Springs Elks Club and Marine Raiders. He is survived by his wife, Della; his son, Robert A. Boehnlein of Gilbert, Ariz.; three daughters, Susan Noble of Washington, Andrea Siebert of Texas and Lisa Skelley of Culver City; three stepdaughters, Jackie Wenstrand of Turlock, Sandie Hartzie of San Jose and Georgeann Crowe of Hemet; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roland Boehnlein in 1998. Services will be private with FitzHenry Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
