George Stewart DeMille, 78, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, at his home in Plymouth.
Mr. DeMille was born on Aug. 23, 1924, to Lynn and Florence DeMille in Missouri.
He was a veteran serving as a Marine Raider during World War II. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.
He worked 30 years as a check scaler in the lumber industry, last working for Wetsel-Oviatt Lumber Company. He enjoyed growing and selling Zinfandel grapes and had made Amador County for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian DeMille of Plymouth; son, Rex Greilich of Plymouth; daughters, Kerry Miller of Red Bluff, Sue Harvey of Brentwood, Amy Poling of Vacaville, Susan Edwards of Naples, Idaho, Donna Sharp of Pine Grove and Terry Villegas of Plymouth.
At the family’s request there will be no service. Inurnment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Daneri Mortuary in Jackson.
