Services for Gerald “Jerry” Huckaby, 62, of Baytown are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Earthman Funeral chapel with the Rev. Dewey Fuller officiating.
Huckaby died Sunday [October 18, 1987] at a Wilmington, N.C., hospital.
A 36-year resident of Baytown, Huckaby had retired from Exxon after 34 years of service and worked as a real estate broker. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 912.
Survivors include his wife, Adrienne Huckaby and a son, Curtis B. Huckaby, both of Baytown; a daughter, Barbara McManus of Houston; a sister, Winona Knepple of Liberty; and three grandchildren, Dwayne Huckaby, Curt Huckaby and Lynne Huckaby, all of Baytown.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Earthman Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Harold L. Murphy, Daniel R. Murphy, Tommy Kimmey, Jerry C. Knepple, Leslie McKenney and George Hanson.
Services are under the direction of Earthman Funeral Home.
