Estel N. “Glen” Huff, age 92, of Gate City, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Nova Health and Rehab of Weber City VA.
Born in OK, KY on May 24, 1922, he was a son of the late Fate Huff and Orphia Baker. He was also preceded in death by his wife Velma Huff; a daughter Kathy Kilgore; and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Huff was a welder and was employed by Daniels and Yeargin Construction. Estel attended the First Baptist Church in Weber City VA.
He is survived by 2 grandsons, Colton Kilgore, Weston Susong; a brother, Roy Clifton Huff, Kingsport; a brother-in-law, Leo Bailey, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. Funeral service will follow at 7PM with Rev. Paul Blessing officiating.
Military graveside services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM by American Legion Post #3/265 and Virginia National Guard, in the Holston View Cemetery Weber City.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Blanton, James Hartley, Dalton Ford, Austin Ford, Terry Shoemaker, and Lyle Bledsoe.
Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home no later than 10:15 to go in procession.
