George H. (Jim) Hughes, 48, 947 Quincy Drive, Hamilton, died Thursday [September 2, 1971] at 4:55 a.m. at Fort Hamilton Hospital.
A veteran of World War II, he worked for U.S. Plywood-Champion Papers and was a member of the First Baptist Church and George Washington Lodge 17, F & AM.
He leaves his mother, Mrs. John (Marian) Hurley, Hamilton; his wife, Dolores Lovell Hughes; two daughters, Helen Hughes and Deborah Hughes, both of Hamilton; two sisters, Mrs. Pauletta Melenchen, Hamilton and Mrs. Walter (Marie) Knodel, Hamilton.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Webb Funeral Home, Ross Ave. and S. D St. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9 a.m. until services.
