Eugene Humphries (Hump), 64, 406 Webster Street, Gadsden, passed away Wednesday [April 13, 1983] 4:30 P.M. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nadine Humphries, Gadsden; son, Larry Humphries, Gadsden; four daughters, Mrs. Linda Phillips and Bonita Morris, both of Gadsden, Mrs. Sandi Bush and Mrs. Jodie Polumbo, Baltimore, Maryland; two brothers, George Humphries and Buddy Humphries; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Wood and Mrs. Sue Brown; thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday 3:30 P.M. from Collier-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Buster Latimer officiating. Interment Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers John Lee, H. L. Pitcher, Aaron Johnston, Allen Partee, Richard Garner and Jerry Garner. Honorary pallbearers Dicki Burroughs, Bill Walton, Johnny McGee, Bruce Young, Jimmy Green, Martin Torres. Mr. Humphries was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. He was a Veteran of World War II. The body will remain at Collier-Butler parlors through the hour of service.
