Obituaries > KAUFFMAN, RALPH L.

Ralph Lewis Kauffman, 31, drowned in the Smith River Saturday afternoon [June 19, 1954] while fishing. He resided at 1316 Gross Street, Indianola. He had completed two years at Humboldt State College where he was studying business administration. He was a member of the Accounting Club. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Lois; a son, Robert Wayne; father, John Henry Kauffman of Bandon, Oregon; mother, Mrs. Vera Chesley of Bayside; sister, Mrs. Louise Hubbard of Bayside and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Cooper Mortuary Chapel of the Ferns with Rev. Harold Ranton officiating. Graveside services will follow at Ocean View Cemetery under the auspices of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
