Charles L. Kilgore Jr., 61, 4723 Round Lake Road, a Downtown Merchants Association official, died Friday [July 2, 1982] in Methodist Hospital.
He was a member and officer of the Downtown Merchants Association since 1975. He served on the board of directors for Morris Plan, where he worked for 22 years.
He was a past president and board member of Charge Account Bankers Association. He was associated with Shoppers Charge and Economy Finance, serving as its executive vice president.
A native of Indianapolis, he was a graduate of Butler University. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of the 1st Marine Division Association, Robert E. Kennington American Legion Post and Carmel Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a life member of the U.S. Marine Raiders.
There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion County Cancer Society.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kilgore; a daughter, Nancy Kilgore, and a son, Michael Kilgore.
