Hugh Richard (Dick) Knight died Thursday [April 14, 1977] at his Novato home after a long illness. He was 57.
Born in Denver, he moved to California 1965 and to Novato in 1972.
He was a sales representative for Lee’s Carpets, San Francisco.
Knight served with the Raider Battalion of the Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Tulsa, Okla., California Bodies A&ASR of San Francisco and the Islam Temple of the Shrine.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Knight of Novato; a son, Thomas Hugh Knight of Novato; a daughter, Bonnie June Knight of Novato; a sister, Maxine Redfern of Edmonds, Wash.; and two brothers, C. Edward Knight of Arlington, Va., and Kenneth C. Knight of Farmington, N.M.
At Knight’s request, there will be no funeral. Inurnment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin or the American Cancer Society.
