Nick Kolember, age 83, passed away November 28, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve “Jean”; daughter, Laura (Greg) Quasny; sons: Michael (Henriett) Kolember and Nick (Debra) Kolember; loving grandpa of Douglas and Suzanne Quasny and Andrew and Michael Kolember; fond brother of Sophie Chubrich; fond brother-in-law of Alice Kolember and Wally (late Flo) Vukadinovich; cherished uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters: Minnie and Louise; brothers: Peter and Daniel Kolember. Nick was proud to have served his country during World War II as a U.S. Marine. He was a retired ironworker and Business Agent for Ironworkers Local 395, Hammond, IN. Visitation will be Friday, November 30, 2007 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Pomen Service at 7:00 p.m. at Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel with Very Rev. Dr. Milos Vesin officiating. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Memorial donations may be made to St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, Lansing, IL.
