Lester E. McKeel Sr., 65, died Tuesday, August 27, 1991 after a lengthy illness.
Mr. McKeel retired in 1980 as Captain from the City of Akron Police Dept., after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and D.A.V.
Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, on July 29, 1991, Mr. McKeel is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and Charlene McKeel Jr. of Akron, John and Candi McKeel of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter and son-in-law Joanne and Bob Blackburn of Akron; five grandchildren, Jason, Marcy, Jenny Bobby and Ronnie; three sisters, Clara Watson of Wadsworth, Frances Polgar and Bea Lind, both of Michigan.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, at the Adams Funeral Home, and where friends may call Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 650 W. 168th St., N.Y., NY 10032-9982.
