Edward A. Omahen, 94, of Peru died Dec. 16, 2015, in Manor Court of Peru.
At his request there will be no services. Ptak Funeral Home, Peru, assisted the family with the arrangements.
Edward was born Oct. 28, 1921, in DePue to John and Julia (Nuk) Omahen. He married Joyce Savage.
He was a farmer and then retired from Marquette Cement as a welder. Edward served overseas in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He received a Purple Heart.
He is survived by three daughters, Jane (Dominic) Andreoni of Peru, Juli Omahen of Chicago and Jackie (Doug) Rasmussen of Iowa City, Iowa; one son, Jon Omahen of New York, N.Y.; and one granddaughter, Jillian Carber.
He was preceded in death his wife in 1993; one sister and one brother.
Memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue or to the donor’s choice.
