Mr. Leon Audrey Owens, 45, of Rt. 1, Gallion, a retired repairman for Southern Bell Telephone Co., died at the Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham Aug. 12 [1966]. Funeral services were held from the Cook & Spigener Chapel Aug. 14 with the Rev. John T. Harrison officiating. Burial was in Memorial Gardens with Cook & Spigener in charge. Mr. Owens is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Baker Owens of Demopolis; two sons, Stephen Leon Owens and Richard Terry Owens, both of Demopolis; two daughters, Mrs. M.B. Ulmer, Jr. and Miss Donna Gail Owens, both of Demopolis; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Odell Owens of Birmingham; two brothers, Horne Thedford Owens and James Rudolph Owens, both of Birmingham; and a sister, Mr. W.H. Todd of Huntsville. Active pallbearers were Martin Turner, J. P. Jackson, Murphy Baker, Millard Ulmer, Jim Clements and H. W. Lewis.
