OCEAN CITY—John (Jonnie) Martin Peart, 58, of Ocean City, was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday [February 6, 1977] at Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury after being stricken at home with an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Peart, a Marine Corps veteran, was a maintenance engineer here for Daynac. He was a lifetime member of Edson’s Raiders Association at Quantico, Va. and was a member of American Legion Post No. 222 and Elks Lodge No. 466 in Jackson, Ohio.

Born in Crooksville, Ohio, he was a son of the late John S. and Mary Bennett Peart. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Nell Brooks Peart, and a stepson, Army Lt. Lamar Notestine, Ft. Hood, Tex.

Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Crooksville.

Arrangements are being handled by the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
