PRESCOTT – Frederick Cannon Petet, 64, a retired Marine, died Friday [March 23, 1973] in Ft. Whipple Veterans Administration Hospital near here.

Masonic graveside services with full military honors will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Ft. Whipple VA Cemetery, Ruffner Funeral Home announced.

Mr. Petet, a native of Cameron, Mo., came to Prescott six years ago from Corona del Mar, Calif. He retired in 1958 after serving 26 years in the Marine Corps.

He was a member of the Elks, the Fraternal Order of Police, the Sharlot Hall Historical Society, a York Rite Masonic lodge, the Yavapai Shrine Club, the National Rifle Association, the American Ordnance Association, the Royal Arch Knights Templars, the Retired Officers Association and the National Sojourners. Mr. Petet also was a life member of Masonic Service Lodge 594 of Long Beach, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, Maria.
