Obituaries > PICKERING, BENJAMIN J.

MARICOPA — Benjamin J. Pickering, 67, a retired machinist, died July 30, 1986, at Maryvale Samaritan Hospital. Mr. Pickering, of Maricopa, was born in Morenci, Mich., and moved to Arizona in 1982 from Eugene, Ore. He was a World War II Marine and a charter member of the N. Eugene/Santa Clara Post of the American Legion in Oregon. He was a member of the 40 and 8 Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Blanche; daughters, Karen and Jodi; sons, Ronnie, Stephen, Jeffery, Phillip, Jaime, Terry and Scott; one sister; and 14 grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children and Youth Fund of the Matthew B. Juan Post 35, 2240 Chandler Blvd., Chandler 85224. Bueler Mortuary made arrangements.
