Obituaries > RIDDLE, WILLIE P.

LAURENS – W. Paul Riddle Sr., 65, of 622 Church St., died Nov. 26, 1989 at his home.

Born in Enoree, he was a son of the late Samuel Erskine and Maude Adell Garrett Riddle. He was a retired operations manager for Laurens Electric Cooperative and a member and deacon at Hillcrest Baptist Church. A member of the Gideon International Association and Lake Garrett Chapter 25 of the American Legion, he was a World War II Marine veteran.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry E. Riddle of Travelers Rest and Willie Paul Riddle of Greenwood; two daughters, Gail R. Harland and Cecilia E. Riddle, both of Laurens; three brothers, Roy Riddle of Laurens, Henry Riddle of Mauldin and Dennis Riddle of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Kathleen Garrett of Enoree; and 6 grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gray Funeral Home, Laurens with the Rev. Kenneth Boone and the Rev. Jack Reid officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
