Robert A. Rinearson, 57, of Garrettsville, died Friday a.m. [January 6, 1978] unexpectedly following a short illness at Cleveland Clinic.

He was a public accountant, operating his own office since 1946. He served as clerk for Garfield School Board, the village of Garrettsville and the Board of Public Affairs from 1947 to 1975. Mr. Rinearson was a member and past president of the Akron Society of Public Accountants, member and director of the Public Accountants Society of Ohio and a member of the National Society. He was a member of the First Marine Raider Battalion which landed on Guadalcanal, and was a member of the United Church of Christ, Lodge 246 F&AM, Silver Creek Chapter 144 RAM, Crescent Chapter 7 OES, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rites Valley of Cleveland and the Al Koran Shrine. He was the director of the County Savings and Loan of Ravenna.

He is survived by wife, Evelyn; brothers, Elmer E., of Ravenna and James S., Pembroke Pines, Fla.

Friends received Sunday 7 to 9 p.m. at the Malory-DeHaven Funeral Home, Garrettsville, where masonic services will be held 6:30 p.m. Sunday and funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial Park Cemetery, Garrettsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Garrettsville United Church of Christ.
