Michael Andrew Soltis Sr., 78, a native of Clarence, Pa., and resident of Montegut, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to service time Monday at Montegut Fire Station. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Marcel Soltis; two sons, Michael Soltis Jr. and Danny Soltis Sr. and wife, Christine Nelton Soltis; one sister, Martha Drapcho; four grandchildren, Michael J., Lori A., Danny J. Jr. and Andrew J. Soltis; and four great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Kyle, Meghan and Alexis Soltis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Sr. and Nellie Soltis; three brothers, Andrew Jr. and John Soltis and Lenny Chambers; and one sister, Genevieve Panik.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II in Iwo Jima and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
He was Catholic.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are preferred.
