Edward L. Stozek, 76, of Denver died of complications from Parkinson’s disease Aug. 13  in Colorado. Mr. Stozek, a native of Gary, Ind., was vice president of Hope Construction Co. and then served as president of Ed-Roy Construction, which was instrumental in building the Golf Mill Shopping Center in Niles as well as many Chicago-area Jewel-Osco grocery stores. Mr. Stozek earned a Purple Heart with the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Stozek is survived by his wife, Patricia, two sons, Bill and Bob; three daughters, Peg Wood, Phyllis Caruso and Pat LoBue; and 10 grandchildren. Services were held in Colorado.
