LANARK VILLAGE – Lawrence Henry Tietz Sr., 59, of Lanark Village, died Wednesday [September 19, 1979] after a brief illness.

A native of Livingston, Mo., he was a retired executive vice president for Milwaukee Falls (Minn.) Motor Lines. He was a veteran of World War II and was of the Protestant faith. He was an officer of the American Legion Post No. 82 in Lanark Village, Roman Eagle Masonic Lodge No. 66 in Fromberg, Mont., and Eastern Star Chapter 51 in Fromberg.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Tietz of Lanark Village; a son, Lawrence Tietz Jr. of Carrabelle; a daughter, Annette Monroe of International Falls, Minn.; two brothers, Warren Tietz of Denver, Colo., and William Tietz of Anchorage, Alaska; and four grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of R. L. Riley Funeral Home in Carrabelle. Cremation will follow. Riley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
