Everett Jack Watkins, 91, passed from this life on January 10th, 2007 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a long time resident of Colorado Springs. He served in the military as a Marine Raider during WWII and worked at Fort Carson in civil service for 30 years. He had a love for music and played the steel guitar in a country and western band and in his church. Jack was born on November 6, 1915 in Pitcher, Oklahoma, to Finis Nathaniel and Minnie Edith Watkins who are deceased. Everett is preceded in death by his loving wife Lavena. He is survived by one daughter, Renee Watkins of California, three sons, Michael Watkins of California, Rick (Debbie) Watkins of Colorado Springs and Steve (Angela) Watkins of Colorado Springs; seven grandchildren Windi, Luke, Brandon, Rebecca, Joel, Tim, Natalie; and one great-grandchild, Jacob. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Sunday, January 14, 2007, Blunt Mortuary, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday January 15, 2007 at Central Christian Church, 2002 W. Pikes Peak Avenue Colorado Springs. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
