William F. “Bill” Yunker, age 86, of Caledonia, died Friday, July 1, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Amber (Joseph) Frazier and Aaron (Susan) Yunker; seven grandchildren, Amanda (David) Eppinga, Nichole (Russ) King, Jay (Sarah) Cleveland, Antonia (Andrew) Reed, Carissa (William) Lawton, Jocelyn (Richard) Lowack, and Katherine (John) Riley; and ten great-grandchildren, Ryan Frazier, Haley King, R.J. King, Jace Lawton, Cole Lawton, Isabella Lowack, Kaelyn Lowack, Hayden Cleveland, Reece Cleveland, and Mason Cleveland. Bill served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was past president and commander of VFW post #4249 in Newaygo. He was a member of the Lions Club, Newaygo Chamber of Commerce and a baritone singer in Great Lakes Chorus. Bill enjoyed making jewelry and had a passion for building things. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids in memory of Bill. The family is being served by Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service.
